Baseball Recap: Seguin Comes Up Short

Seguin saw some tournament action on Thursday. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Carroll Tigers.

Seguin saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Griffin Welfel, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Nathaniel Herrera also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Seguin's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.

Coincidentally, Seguin and Carroll will both be playing Pieper the next time they take the field. The Tigers will head out to face the Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Matadors will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
