Softball Recap: Sweet Home Beats Stayton for Their Third Straight Victory

Sweet Home hadn't done well against Stayton recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Huskies came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 11-8. The win was nothing new for the Huskies as they're now sitting on three straight.

Sweet Home pushed their record up to 16-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for Stayton, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-8.

Sweet Home does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Stayton, they will welcome Marist at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Spartans have now posted at least ten runs in their last ten games.
