Softball Preview: Williamstown Demons vs. Gallatin County Wildcats
The Williamstown Demons are taking a road trip to challenge the Gallatin County Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
Williamstown fell victim to Grant County and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 10-0 to the Braves. The game marked the first time this year in which the Demons were not able to get on the board.
Meanwhile, Gallatin County had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They never let the Warriors get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. Considering the Wildcats have won six contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Williamstown dropped their record down to 4-4 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Gallatin County, their victory bumped their record up to 10-8.
