Basketball Recap: Fayette Triumphs

Fayette had to endure a six-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, they made off with a 1-0 victory over the Prairie Home Panthers. The one-point effort marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Fayette's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Prairie Home, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fayette won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against New Franklin at 9:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Prairie Home, they will take on Chamois at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
