Basketball Game Preview: McGraw Eagles vs. Madison Central Blue Devils

The McGraw Eagles will venture away from home to take on the Madison Central Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as McGraw comes in on three and Madison Central on seven.

It was a Battle of the Birds when McGraw challenged Fabius Pompey on Tuesday. The Eagles claimed a resounding 55-26 win over the Falcons. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 25 points or more this season.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Madison Central and Cincinnatus Central, and Madison Central kept the tradition alive. The Blue Devils took their game on Tuesday with ease, bagging an 84-30 victory over the Lions. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Blue Devils' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 193rd, while the Lions are ranked 992nd).

McGraw now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Madison Central, their win bumped their record up to 11-2.

McGraw ended up a good deal behind Madison Central in their previous matchup back in December of 2025, losing 61-44. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
