Baseball Recap: Delta Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Delta entered their tilt with South Summit on Wednesday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the South Summit Wildcats 23-4. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Rabbits also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Roper Crane made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Kash Nielson was a standout: he got on base in four of his five plate appearances with five RBI, one triple, and one double. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI. Dax Bliss was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double.

Delta's record now sits at 7-1. As for South Summit, their loss was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Delta will head out to take on Richfield at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for South Summit, they are taking a road trip to face off against Hillcrest at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
