Softball Recap: Santana Snags Fourth Victory in Last Five Games

After losing to El Capitan the last time they met, Santana decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Sultans came out on top against the Vaqueros by a score of 9-6 on Wednesday.

Kaylee Lindahl and Emma Schneider did most of the damage at the plate: Lindahl scored a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances, while Schneider scored two runs.

Santana has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.2 runs over those games. As for El Capitan, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-8.

Coming up, Santana will face off against Granite Hills at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for El Capitan, they will take on Sage Creek at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
