Baseball Recap: Lee Williams Takes a Loss

After soaring to 13 runs the game before, Lee Williams was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They came up short against the Palo Verde Valley Yellow Jackets, falling 8-1. The match marked the Volunteers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Lee Williams saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Barrett Bowman, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Lee Williams now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Palo Verde Valley, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-2-1.

Coincidentally, Lee Williams and Palo Verde Valley will both be playing Pahrump Valley the next time they take the field. Palo Verde Valley will head out to face Pahrump Valley at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, while Lee Williams will play them later in the day, at 1:00 p.m.
