Flag Football Game Preview: Green Mountain Rams vs. The Classical Academy Titans

The Green Mountain Rams will face off against The Classical Academy Titans at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Green Mountain is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They blew past Denver North, posting a 40-0 win. Winning may never get old, but the Rams sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Marissa VanGuilder had another great game (as she tends to do), picking up 139 receiving yards and three touchdowns. That's the most receiving yards she has posted since back in September.

Another reason for the win was Green Mountain's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. In that department, Savannah Trotter was the leader with two.

Meanwhile, The Classical Academy put their dominant defense on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Saturday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 34-0 victory over Elizabeth. That's two games straight that the Titans have won by exactly 34 points.

The Classical Academy's win bumped their record up to 14-3. As for Green Mountain, their victory bumped their record up to 13-4.

Green Mountain lost to The Classical Academy on the road by a decisive 26-8 margin in their previous matchup back in August. Can the Rams avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
