Recap: Yerba Buena Aztec Warriors vs. Mt. Pleasant Cardinals
This season hasn't been kind to the Yerba Buena Aztec Warriors, who are still winless after their 12th match. They were outmatched by Mt. Pleasant on the road and fell 83-51. Yerba Buena has not had much luck with Mt. Pleasant recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Despite the loss, Yerba Buena still got an impressive performance from Brandon Tran , who scored 26 points. The matchup was Tran 's ninth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Tran , who scored seven points.
Yerba Buena bumped their record down to 0-12 with that loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Mt. Pleasant, the win got them back to even at 6-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Yerba Buena will square off against San Jose at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mt. Pleasant, they will head out on the road to face off against Silver Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Silver Creek is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
