Baseball Recap: D'iberville Wins Going Away Against Pass Christian

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Oak Grove, D'Iberville was happy to have turned things around on Monday. Everything went their way against the Pass Christian Pirates as the D'Iberville Warriors made off with an 8-2 win. Considering the Warriors have won three matches by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Carter Naron made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in walks (zero). He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March of 2024.

In other pitching news, Kaden Allen looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because D'Iberville is 2-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 3-4 otherwise.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Jaxon Harris, who scored three runs while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in runs. Another player making a difference was Caleb West, who got on base in two of his five plate appearances with one stolen base and two RBI.

The victory got D'Iberville back to even at 5-5. As for Pass Christian, their defeat was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-8.

Coincidentally, D'Iberville and Pass Christian will both be playing Biloxi the next time they take the field. Pass Christian will head out to face Biloxi at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while D'Iberville will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
