Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 128th, while the Cougars are ranked 269th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

When it comes to explaining why Lake Catholic lost, don't look at Ace Peterlin. Despite the final result, he went 9 for 15 on his way to 22 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Frankie Trinetti, who posted eight points and six rebounds.
