Basketball Recap: Churubusco Skates Past Fort Wayne Canterbury with Ease

Churubusco posted their biggest win since November 9th on Saturday. They breezed by the Fort Wayne Canterbury Cavaliers to the tune of 50-23. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Churubusco to victory, but perhaps none more so than Patty Wiggs, who posted 13 points and three steals. Wiggs is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jessica Price, who had ten points and five steals.

Churubusco smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in November of 2023.

The victory made it two in a row for Churubusco and bumps their season record up to 5-9. As for Fort Wayne Canterbury, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-11.
