Baseball Game Preview: Gaffney Indians vs. Riverside Warriors

The Gaffney Indians will take on the Riverside Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Gaffney and three for Riverside.

On Wednesday, Gaffney came up short against Boiling Springs and fell 7-4.

Brady Smith made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. He is becoming a predictor of Gaffney's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 2-1 (and 5-14 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Jace Bradbury, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Dorman hit Riverside with a five-run sixth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Warriors lost 7-1 to the Cavaliers. The game marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Riverside saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cooper Noble, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Gaffney's loss dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Riverside, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-12.
