Soccer Game Preview: Aurora Central vs. Alameda

The Aurora Central Trojans will look to take advantage of their home pitch for the first time this season as they take on the Alameda Pirates at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Aurora Central is coming home looking for redemption after taking a loss in their road opener. They came up short against Hinkley on Tuesday, falling 7-1. The loss continues a trend for the Trojans in their meetings with the Thunder: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, Alameda gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand DSST: Conservatory Green a 1-0 shutout. The Pirates wouldn't have won without Alexa Andrade, who scored the game-winner.
