Volleyball Game Preview: Cupertino Pioneers vs. Milpitas Trojans

The Cupertino Pioneers will square off against the Milpitas Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Cupertino is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They blew past Evergreen Valley 3-0.

Cupertino walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-20, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Milpitas hadn't done well against Los Altos recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Trojans were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Eagles. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Trojans.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-16, 25-20.

Cupertino's victory bumped their record up to 25-8. As for Milpitas, their win bumped their record up to 19-9.

Cupertino couldn't quite get it done against Milpitas in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 as they fell 3-1. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Trojans' Ashley Chen, who had 12 digs and six aces. Now that the Pioneers know the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
