Baseball Game Preview: Oak Grove Tigers vs. Westminster School at Oak Mountain Knights

The Oak Grove Tigers will challenge the Westminster School at Oak Mountain Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Oak Grove knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Westminster School at Oak Mountain likes a good challenge.

Last Tuesday, Oak Grove made easy work of Pleasant Grove and carried off a 13-2 win. Considering the Tigers have won 13 matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Westminster School at Oak Mountain lost 11-1 to Montevallo on Thursday.

Oak Grove's victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 23-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games. As for Westminster School at Oak Mountain, their loss dropped their record down to 11-10.

Oak Grove took their victory against Westminster School at Oak Mountain in their previous matchup back in February by a conclusive 11-4 score. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Knights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
