Softball Game Preview: Elkton Golden Elks vs. Bohemia Manor Eagles

For the second straight game, Elkton will face off against Bohemia Manor. The Golden Elks will head out on the road to take on the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Elkton has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with nine straight defeats, while Bohemia Manor will come in with seven straight victories.

Elkton lost 18-1 to Bohemia Manor on Monday.

For Bohemia Manor's part, Lyla Wescoat (2027) made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Wescoat (2027) has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Bohemia Manor got a massive performance out of Elizabeth Marcum (2027), who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Kylee Bergman (2025) Salisbury, who scored two runs while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.

Bohemia Manor's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.4 runs over those games. As for Elkton, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.
