Softball Recap: El Capitan Gauchos vs. Buhach Colony Thunder

Sadly, El Capitan is still looking for their first win of the season after nine games. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Buhach Colony Thunder on Wednesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to El Capitan of the 10-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March.

For Buhach Colony's part, Lilianna Asato made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. Asato has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive pitching appearances. Asato was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-5.
