Basketball Recap: Pinnacle Classical Academy Takes a Loss

Pinnacle Classical Academy played a tough game on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the Veritas Christian Academy Warriors, falling 68-36. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now lost six in a row.

Despite the defeat, Pinnacle Classical Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Nylah Littlejohn posted 11 points and five steals. Littlejohn has been hot recently, having posted four or more steals the last four times she's played. Clarissa Christopher was another key player, putting up eight points.

Brooke Miller continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Veritas Christian Academy, going 14 for 20 on her way to 32 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals. Those 32 points gave Miller a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaitlyn Miller, who almost dropped a double-double on ten boards and nine assists.

Pinnacle Classical Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Veritas Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 14-2 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Pinnacle Classical Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Veritas Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 67-23 victory against Gospel Light Christian on the 31st.
