Baseball Preview: Midtown Knights vs. Mays Raiders

Midtown is preparing for their first region matchup of the season on Monday. They will be playing at home against the Mays Raiders at 5:55 p.m. Midtown is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.

Midtown barely beat Southwest DeKalb the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Midtown's pitcher stepped up to hand Southwest DeKalb a 15-0 shutout on Friday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Knights considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

Sam Dempsey made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched.
