Forks' loss ends nine-game winning streak at home

Recap: Forks Spartans vs. Neah Bay Red Devils

It was a good run, but the Forks Spartans unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Monday. They were outmatched by Neah Bay at home and fell 84-56. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Forks in their matchups with Neah Bay: they've now lost six in a row.

Neah Bay got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Amber Swan out in front who dropped a double-double on 15 rebounds and ten assists. That's the first time this season that Swan posted eight or more assists. Ryana Moss was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Forks' loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-2. As for Neah Bay, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Forks the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Ocosta at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th. Ocosta will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings (they are ranked 217th, while Forks is ranked 45th). As for Neah Bay, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Clallam Bay at 5:45 p.m. Clallam Bay's defense has only allowed 24.8 points per game this season, so Neah Bay's offense will have their work cut out for them.
