Sumner entered their tilt with Graham-Kapowsin on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They never let the Eagles get on the board and left with a 2-0 win. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Sumner got a great performance from Garrett Levenhagen as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over six innings pitched.

At the plate, Sumner's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Elijah Prunty, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Sumner's record is now 12-4. As for Graham-Kapowsin, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-6.
