Basketball Game Preview: Covington Trojans vs. Seeger Patriots

Covington hasn't had much luck against Seeger recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and take on one another at 7:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Two weeks ago, Covington was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 58-57 to Attica. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Seeger earned a 60-47 win over Tri-Central last Friday.

Seeger found their leader in sophomore Cadence White, who went 8 for 14 on her way to 26 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which White has scored at least a third of Seeger's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleigh Purcell, who posted six points along with six assists and three steals.

Covington's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Seeger, their victory bumped their record up to 7-8.
