Baseball Recap: Warren Takes a Loss

Warren was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 13-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Caldwell Redskins. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Redskins this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-3 back in March.

Jacob Sealey made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Brandon Cline was another key player, earning one RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Warren's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Caldwell, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-2.

Looking ahead, Warren will face off against Fort Frye at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Caldwell, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Shenandoah at 5:00 p.m. The timing is sure in the Redskins' favor as the squad sits on 14 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while the Zeps have been banged up by 13 consecutive losses on the road.
