Recap: Culver Community Cavaliers vs. North Miami Warriors
The Culver Community Cavaliers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They strolled past North Miami with points to spare, taking the game 78-63. Winning may never get old, but Culver Community sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Leading Culver Community to victory were David Hite and Jack Rodgers. Hite scored 22 points along with five steals, while Rodgers dropped a triple-double on 25 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists. The match was Rodgers' third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Adria Guasp, who scored 12 points.
Despite the loss, North Miami still got an impressive performance from Jacob Riley, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and ten rebounds. Riley also grabbed two steals for the first time this season. Isaac Floyd was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with seven rebounds.
Even though they lost, North Miami were working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Culver Community only racked up 17 assists.
Culver Community's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for North Miami, they bumped their record down to 1-3 with that loss, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.
Culver Community will square off against Knox at TBD on Saturday. As for North Miami, they will head out on the road to face off against Pioneer at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Indiana (Pioneer is ranked 379th, while North Miami is ranked 394th).
