Softball Recap: Pacifica Takes a Loss

Pacifica lost against Fillmore back in February of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Pacifica Tritons took a 14-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fillmore Flashes. The Tritons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Aubrey Colvin was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 5-for-5. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in hits (five). Dimyla Aupiu was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4.

Even though they lost, Pacifica always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .595. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fillmore only posted an OBP of .421.

Pacifica now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Fillmore, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Pacifica has already played their next contest, a 14-4 win against Santa Clara on the 22nd. As for Fillmore, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 13-0 victory against Channel Islands on the 25th.
