Volleyball Recap: Spring Valley Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Spring Valley faced off against Webster on Saturday. The Cardinals fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 2-1. The loss continues a trend for the Cardinals in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost three in a row.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Spring Valley sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 16-25, 15-11.

Ella Stangl paced Spring Valley's offense, picking up eight kills. Stangl got some help from Addison Nelson and her 21 assists. Stangl was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Spring Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Webster, they pushed their record up to 24-1 with the win, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Spring Valley has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Prescott on the 4th. As for Webster, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Amery on the 4th.
