Basketball Recap: Memorial Takes a Loss

Memorial lost against Stratford back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Memorial Mustangs fell just short of the Stratford Spartans by a score of 42-40. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Stratford, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-13.

Memorial will be playing in front of their home fans against Cypress Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Memorial is on a three-game streak of home wins, Cypress Falls a six-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. As for Stratford, they will venture away from home to challenge Cypress Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Cypress Creek knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Stratford likes a good challenge.
