Yuma had lost three games at home, but after bumping their record up to 13-6 on Saturday that streak is in the rearview. They skirted past the Burlington Cougars 2-0. The two-run effort marked the Outlaws' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

The result came thanks to Brodie Kallweit's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up 11 Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

As for Burlington, they now have a losing record of 8-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss they have suffered since May 18, 2024.

On Burlington's side, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rowdy Humrich, who went 2-for-3 with one triple.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Yuma beat the Cougars by a score of 2-0 later that day.
