Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Seymour). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Watertown Warriors 47-0. The victory was just business as usual for the Wildcats, who after six games remain undefeated this season.

Leading Seymour to victory were Anthony Cortello and Connor Shea. Cortello threw for 239 yards and three touchdowns while completing 81.8% of his passes, while Shea gained 117 total yards and two touchdowns. The dominant performance also gave Cortello a new career-high in passer rating (161.9). Another player making a difference was Max Brito, who gained 102 total yards and a touchdown.

Seymour was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 222 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 222 rushing yards in three consecutive matchups.

Seymour's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Watertown, their defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seymour will square off against Kennedy at 7:00 p.m. on November 1. The Wildcats will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 42.2 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Watertown, they will challenge Gilbert/Northwestern/Housatonic at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
