Oxford Hills is a perfect 10-0 against Mt. Ararat since May of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Vikings will head out on the road to challenge the Eagles at 4:15 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Oxford Hills is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Maine's top teams: Bangor, who was ranked fourth at the time (Oxford Hills was ranked 25th). The Vikings narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Rams 6-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Vikings.

Mt. Ararat came out on top against Yarmouth on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run seventh inning. The Eagles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-8 victory over the Clippers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Eagles have posted since May 28, 2024.

Mt. Ararat's victory bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Oxford Hills, their win bumped their record up to 8-3.

Everything went Oxford Hills' way against Mt. Ararat in their previous matchup on May 2nd, as Oxford Hills made off with an 11-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
