Baseball Recap: Macarthur Beats Haltom for Their Fourth Straight Win

MacArthur entered their tilt with Haltom on Thursday with three consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with a 7-4 victory over the Haltom Buffalos. Seven seems to be a good number for the Cardinals as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Harper Goff tossed a big game, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits (and only one walk).

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jonathan Torres, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in runs. Aaron Saenz also deserves some recognition as he stole his first stolen base of the season.

MacArthur's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Haltom, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-2.

MacArthur wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 1-0 win against Mansfield Timberview on the 27th. As for Haltom, they will be taking part in a tournament against Naaman Forest at 2:30 p.m. on Friday.
