The matchup between Bennett and Alameda on Wednesday hardly resembled the 1-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Tigers' defense stepped up to hand the Pirates an 8-0 shutout. Bennett might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by three goals or more this season.

They hit Alameda with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Reese West (4), Meagan Green (3), and Alexia De La Torre.

Bennett's win bumped their record up to 10-3-1. As for Alameda, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-5-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bennett will host Lamar at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Lamar will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Bennett surely won't give up without a fight. As for Alameda, they will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against Lake County at 5:00 p.m.
