Basketball Recap: Punxsutawney Comes Up Short

Punxsutawney lost against Elk County Catholic back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Punxsutawney Chucks were beaten by the Elk County Catholic Crusaders 53-21. The contest marked the Chucks' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Punxsutawney and nudges their season record down to 5-4. As for Elk County Catholic, the win keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing St. Marys the next time they take the court. Elk County Catholic will head out to face St. Marys at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Punxsutawney will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
