Basketball Recap: Eldred Comes Up Short

Eldred lost against Chester back in January of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Eldred Yellowjackets took a 45-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chester Hambletonians. The Yellowjackets just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Despite the loss, Eldred still got an impressive performance from Olivia Gonzalez, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 boards. That was a full 55.9% of Eldred's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points.

Eldred's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Chester, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-3.

Eldred will head out to challenge Tri-Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Chester, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Chapel Field Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
