Volleyball Game Preview: McLane Highlanders vs. Bullard Knights

The McLane Highlanders will square off against the Bullard Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. McLane has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with five straight losses, while Bullard will come in with four straight victories.

McLane is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest defeat since May 7, 2024 on Tuesday. They came up short against Sanger, falling 3-0. The shutout was out of character for the Highlanders seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in March.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-11, 25-15.

Sunnyside typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Bullard proved too difficult a challenge. They blew past the Wildcats 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-21, 25-19.

McLane's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 8-10. As for Bullard, they pushed their record up to 27-7 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road.
