Baseball Game Preview: Rosewood Eagles vs. Goldsboro Cougars

The Rosewood Eagles will venture away from home to challenge the Goldsboro Cougars at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Goldsboro took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Rosewood, who comes in off a win.

Rosewood was handed a 14-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They won by a run and slipped past Hunt 5-4.

Jack Adams was excellent, scoring a run while going 4-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (four). Another player making a difference was Joseph Lund, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Goldsboro came up short against Arendell Parrott Academy on Friday and fell 6-1. The Cougars have struggled against the Patriots recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Goldsboro saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gray Seegars, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

The victory got Rosewood back to even at 1-1. As for Goldsboro, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
