Soccer Recap: Cedar Grove Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Cedar Grove can now relate to. They came up short against the New Providence Pioneers on Wednesday, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, Cedar Grove can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey soccer rankings (they are ranked 237th, while New Providence are ranked 88th).

Cedar Grove has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-10-2 record this season. As for New Providence, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-6-1.

Cedar Grove does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for New Providence, they will square off against Hasbrouck Heights on Saturday.
