Softball Recap: 12 Straight Home Victories for Grace

Grace came tearing into Tuesday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the St. Bonaventure Seraphs 9-7. This was a revenge game for the Lancers: when they faced off against the Seraphs on April 3rd, they had to take a 10-7 loss.

Ava Depew was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in March of 2024. Isabella Cocca was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Grace pushed their record up to 12-3 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for St. Bonaventure, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grace will take on Oak Park at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Bonaventure, they will welcome Foothill Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
