Baseball Recap: St. Francis Sharks vs. Carmel Padres
St. Francis couldn't beat Carmel on Thursday even though they stacked seven runs on them in the sixth inning. The Sharks fell just short of the Padres by a score of 12-11. The Sharks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Javier Fonseca was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run. Another player making a difference was Nash Horton, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
St. Francis now has a losing record of 13-14. As for Carmel, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-9.
