Preview: Pierce Bears vs. Willows Honkers
Pierce is 8-2 against Willows since February of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Pierce Bears will be playing in front of their home fans against the Willows Honkers at 7:00 p.m. Pierce has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Last Wednesday, Pierce beat East Nicolaus 56-46.
Pierce got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Drew Burnum out in front who scored 14 points along with nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Devin Garcia, who scored 11 points along with six assists and four steals.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Willows, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 63-45 loss to Winters on Wednesday. Willows has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Pierce's win bumped their record up to 8-15. As for Willows, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-13.
Everything went Pierce's way against Willows when the teams last played on January 3rd as Pierce made off with a 58-36 victory. Does Pierce have another victory up their sleeve, or will Willows turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
