Basketball Recap: Old Saybrook Comes Up Short

Old Saybrook came up into this matchup off a tough 47-point loss last Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Coginchaug Regional Blue Devils by a score of 61-58 on Tuesday. The Rams have struggled against the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Sophie Farr continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Coginchaug Regional, going 13 of 28 on her way to 28 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Farr is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least four every time she's taken the court this season. Aaliyah Watson was another key player, putting up five points in addition to five boards and five steals.

Old Saybrook's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Coginchaug Regional, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 12-2.
