Basketball Recap: Natalia Hernandez's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Valley Lutheran over Dishchii'bikoh

Valley Lutheran was the 58-52 winner over Dishchii'bikoh when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Valley Lutheran Flames fell 42-29 to the Dishchii'bikoh Wildcats on Saturday.

Several Flames players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Natalia Hernandez, who posted five points along with eight steals and three blocks. That's the most blocks Hernandez has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Viddiate Clinton, who put up seven points and seven steals.

Valley Lutheran has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-8 record this season. As for Dishchii'bikoh, their record is now 10-11.

Valley Lutheran didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 38-26 victory against Anthem Prep on the 3rd. Dishchii'bikoh has also already played their next contest, a 32-31 win against St. Michael on the 5th.
