Baseball Recap: Greenville Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Greenville's offense. They lost 17-0 to the Indianola Academy Colonels on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Hornets in their meetings with the Colonels: they've now lost three in a row.

Greenville's record is now 2-6. As for Indianola Academy, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Greenville will head out to square off against St. Aloysius at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Greenville has given up an average of 12.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. Indianola Academy will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on North Delta at 4:00 p.m. on March 25th.
