Volleyball Game Preview: Niobrara/Verdigre Cougars vs. Boyd County Spartans

Niobrara/Verdigre hasn't had much luck against Boyd County recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Cougars will take on the Spartans in a tournament on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Niobrara/Verdigre took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Stuart as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Cougars not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since August 28th (when they won 3-0).

While Niobrara/Verdigre won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-14, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Boyd County got the win against Santee on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0.

Boyd County's win bumped their record up to 13-15. As for Niobrara/Verdigre, their victory ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 10-15.
