Basketball Game Preview: Chichester Eagles vs. Garnet Valley Jaguars

The Chichester Eagles will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against the Garnet Valley Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Chichester is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Springfield just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Monday. They fell 55-45 to the Cougars. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 312th, while the Cougars are ranked 121st).

Meanwhile, Garnet Valley's undefeated season came to an end after five games on Thursday. They took a 47-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Conestoga. The game marked the Jaguars' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Garnet Valley fell to 5-1. As for Chichester, they now have a losing record at 4-5.

Chichester came up short against Garnet Valley in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 62-49. Can Chichester avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
