Softball Recap: West Carroll Thunder vs. East Dubuque Warriors

West Carroll had lost 21 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 5-17 to make it 22. They fell 6-2 to the East Dubuque Warriors. If the Thunder were looking for revenge after losing 13-1 to the Warriors when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for East Dubuque, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games.

For East Dubuque's part, Curin Oberman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on three hits and racked up six Ks.
