Basketball Game Preview: Briar Woods Falcons vs. Potomac Falls Panthers

Briar Woods is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They came out on top against Massaponax by a score of 31-24.

Brianna Zaher was the offensive standout of the contest as she en route to 18 points and five rebounds. Those 18 points gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Nina Keltz, who posted five points and five steals.

Meanwhile, Potomac Falls waltzed into their match on Friday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 39-35 W against the Ram.

Potomac Falls pushed their record up to 21-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points over those games. As for Briar Woods, their victory bumped their record up to 13-11.

Briar Woods lost to Potomac Falls on the road by a decisive 45-28 margin in their previous meeting on Wednesday. Can Briar Woods avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
