Softball Recap: Smiths Station Comes Up Short

Smiths Station lost against Beauregard back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Smiths Station Panthers fell just short of the Beauregard Hornets by a score of 9-8. That's two games in a row now that the Panthers have lost by just one run.

This is the second loss in a row for Smiths Station and nudges their season record down to 2-6. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only one runs. As for Beauregard, they pushed their record up to 8-0 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Smiths Station will face off against Glenwood at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Beauregard, they will take on Beulah at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
